Organisation: Bristol City Council
Partners: Public Health England
Timescale: 2006
Catalyst for initiative/activity:
To compare the statistics used to assess the hazard with local crime statistics: to examine how guidance is used: to consider the evidence for risk to health from intruder entry and to examine the definition of the vulnerable group for the hazard.
Brief summary:
A review of locally held hazard assessments, local and national crime statistics etc.
Outcomes:
1. When assessing the Entry by Intruders HHSRS hazard reference should be made to local crime statistics.
2. There is evidence to suggest that there is an age group most susceptible to suffering harm and that persons over 60 years old should be seen as being the vulnerable group for the Entry by Intruders hazard.
